TERRY KASSEL – Board of Directors

Terry Kassel is a member of the Board of Directors of The Paul E. Singer Foundation (the “Foundation”) and Chairman of the Board of Start-Up Nation Central, a not-for-profit based in Israel, inspired by the book, Start-Up Nation. Terry is also a member of the Board of Directors of OneTable and Israel on Campus Coalition.Terry serves on the Management Committee of Elliott Management Corporation where she is Counsel and Head of Strategic Human Resources. Previously, she was Global Head of Human Resources and a member of the Operating Committee, Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. (2001-2006), Counsel and Head of Human Resources, Private Client Division, Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. (2000-2001) and Litigation Counsel, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith (1985-2000).

DANIEL BONNER – Program Officer

Daniel Bonner is a Program Officer at The Paul E. Singer Foundation. After a year with a boutique investment bank in New York, Daniel joined the Foundation to co-manage strategic grant-making and collaboration with the Foundation’s peers.Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, he grew up in Dallas and graduated from Columbia University, where he studied history and served as Hillel President and Vice Chair of its Student Governing Board. Outside of the office, Daniel is a tennis player, Larry David fan, and aspiring world traveler.

CARRIE FILIPETTI – Director, Portfolio Management

Carrie Filipetti is the Director of Portfolio Management at The Paul E. Singer Foundation, as well as the Foundation’s special liaison to Start-Up Nation Central. Previously, Carrie served for two and a half years as a Program Officer at the Foundation, spearheading the creation and management of a strategic Jewish and Pro-Israel portfolio. Carrie currently serves on the National Board of TAMID Israel Investment Group.Carrie studied Religious Studies and Astronomy at the University of Virginia, where, in addition to serving as a Jefferson, Echol’s, and Raven Society scholar, she co-chaired the Diversity Initiatives Committee of the Student Council and presided over UVA’s Zionist organization, Hoos for Israel. In her spare time, Carrie enjoys boxing training and learning flying trapeze, and searching for the best coffee in Manhattan.

CHAYA GLASNER – Program Officer

Chaya Glasner is a Program Officer at The Paul E. Singer Foundation. Before the Foundation, Chaya worked with the Tikvah Fund for two years, serving in an editorial and marketing capacity. Prior to that, she was a 2011-2012 Tikvah Fellow.Chaya is a graduate of Yeshiva University and spent a year studying at Michlalah Jerusalem College. Originally from the D.C. area, Chaya loves life in New York City and tries to take advantage of the city’s cultural offerings as often as possible.

DEBORAH HOCHBERG – Director, Strategic Partnerships

Debbie Hochberg is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at The Paul E. Singer Foundation. Previously, she was Director of Investor Relations for Multex, Inc., where she built investor relationships and ran corporate strategy, culminating in the company’s sale to Thomson Reuters. Prior to that, Debbie served as an Equity Research Analyst and in Equity Capital Markets at Merrill Lynch. Debbie is currently a member of the Board of Directors of OneTable, formerly served on the Board of Directors of The David Project from inception through 2008 and is an active lay leader for Facing History & Ourselves.

Debbie has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an A.B. in Biology from Harvard College, where she played on the four-time National Championship Varsity Squash team. Debbie lives in Scarsdale, New York, with her husband, three children and dog. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, skiing, travel and reading.

MICHELE PACKMAN – Director of Operations

Michele Packman is the Director of Operations at The Paul E. Singer Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, she served for six years as the Director of Operations and Human Resources for The Paul E. Singer Family Office LLC. Prior to that Michele was the New York City Finance Coordinator for the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee.Michele has an M.S. in Organizational Leadership for Human Resources from Quinnipiac University and a B.S. from Roger Williams University. In her free time, Michele enjoys traveling to New Mexico to spend time with her two nephews.
